About these terms

These terms apply when you buy phones through BIGJOE’s website or mobile app. Our phone listings include brand new phones, graded fairly used phones, and Falaa Deals. Repair services and separate accessory sales are not offered through this app. Prices and payments are in Ghana cedis (GHS). Our shop is at PZ, Adum, Kumasi, near Melcom.

Read these terms and the product description before buying. You may save or print this page. A specific written quotation or warranty supplied with your purchase forms part of your agreement. No term here removes a right that Ghanaian law gives you.

Your account and responsible use

Provide accurate contact and delivery information. Signup verifies your phone number by SMS; subsequent sign-in uses your number and password. Keep passwords and verification codes private. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Do not misuse the service, attempt to access another person’s account, interfere with its security, or use stolen payment details. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, investigate abuse or comply with law. This does not remove rights relating to a paid order.

Products, condition and prices

Check the model, storage, colour, condition, included accessories and price on the listing or receipt. Brand new phones are distinct from graded fairly used phones. A grade describes the particular used phone’s condition; read the listing for the grade, battery information and any limitations. Grades do not imply a universal industry standard.

Falaa Deals are phones previously used in Ghana and sold to BIGJOE with known issues. They are priced lower to reflect those issues. Each Falaa listing must clearly disclose its specific faults and condition before purchase. Do not assume it has the same condition or functionality as a standard graded fairly used phone. A disclosed fault does not remove your rights concerning an undisclosed defect or a misleading description.

Photographs illustrate the product; check the description for the exact configuration. We do not promise a particular battery capacity, water resistance, manufacturer warranty or accessory unless stated for that item. Ask for clarification before ordering if a detail matters to your purchase.

The checkout shows the item price, applicable delivery charge and total before payment. Adding to your bag does not reserve stock. An unpaid order is not a guarantee that stock will remain available. If a material pricing or stock error affects an order, we will contact you rather than substitute an item or increase an agreed payment without your consent.

Lawful sourcing and acceptable use

Used-phone intake includes seller ID and contact details, a signed sale receipt, proof of purchase, Activation Lock checks and stolen or blacklisted IMEI checks. We do not accept stock where lawful ownership cannot be established. Our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits stolen stock, concealed faults, fraudulent payments and account abuse.

Orders, payment and delivery

You can check and correct your bag and delivery details before submitting an order. Keep your order reference and receipt. An acknowledgement records your request; confirmation follows successful payment verification and our acceptance of the order.

Online payments are processed through Paystack. Do not send card security details, Mobile Money PINs or OTPs to our staff. A payment-page redirect alone does not prove payment. If your wallet or bank shows a debit while the order is unpaid, contact us with the reference before paying again; provider verification or a reversal may still be pending.

Our delivery operating hours are Monday–Sunday, 8am–6pm, in Ghana time. Delivery availability, fees and the agreed delivery period are confirmed for your order. See our Shipping Policy. Unless another period is agreed, applicable electronic orders must be fulfilled within 14 days. If an ordered item is unavailable, we will notify you and refund its payment within seven days of that notice.

Provide a reachable number and accurate address. Changing your saved address does not change an existing order; contact us about corrections. Inspect your delivery and report missing, damaged or incorrect items promptly, with photographs where available. A delay in reporting does not automatically remove statutory rights.

Cancellation, returns and refunds

Our Returns & Refunds Policy sets out the request process, refund handling and complaints procedure.

For eligible online purchases of goods, you may cancel without giving a reason within 14 days after receipt, subject to the exceptions in section 49 of Ghana’s Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772). Only the direct return cost may be charged for that statutory cancellation. Other legal rights remain available.

Contact hello@bigjoegh.com or WhatsApp +233 59 358 3583 with your receipt or order reference and the reason for your request, if any. We will provide return instructions. Do not send a device to an unconfirmed address.

Return the item and its supplied accessories securely. Remove SIM cards, sign out of Apple ID and other personal accounts, disable activation locks, and back up then erase your personal data before handover. We will explain any inspection issue; we do not impose a blanket “no refunds” rule on faulty goods.

For a change of mind about an in-store purchase, contact us before returning it; the statutory online cancellation period does not automatically apply. For faulty, misdescribed or incorrect goods, contact us for an assessment and an appropriate repair, replacement or refund under your legal rights.

Approved return refunds are initiated within 14 days after we receive and assess the returned goods, or sooner where law requires. Your bank or payment provider controls when a refund appears. We provide a reference when available. We do not replace a refund due to you with store credit without your agreement.

Our store warranty

We offer a 90-day store warranty from purchase for functional defects in brand new and graded fairly used phones. For a Falaa Deal, that warranty covers functional defects other than the specific issues clearly disclosed and accepted at purchase. This is additional to your statutory rights and any applicable manufacturer warranty. A longer warranty stated on your receipt takes precedence.

The store warranty covers defects arising during normal use. It does not cover an expressly disclosed condition or damage caused by drops, liquid exposure, misuse, unauthorised alteration or ordinary wear and battery ageing. An exclusion applies only where relevant to the fault; it does not excuse a defect present at sale or remove a legal remedy.

Contact us with proof of purchase and the fault description. Following assessment, we will explain the available repair, replacement or refund. We do not guarantee manufacturer coverage unless confirmed for your particular device.

Privacy and account deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains personal information and service providers. You may delete your account in the app or request assistance by email. Deletion does not cancel an order, erase records needed for lawful purposes, or remove money owed to either party.

Complaints, law and changes

Contact us first so we can investigate a complaint and propose a resolution. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. You may use the courts or another lawful dispute-resolution route available to you; these terms do not require private arbitration or prevent a complaint to a regulator.

We may update these terms for future transactions. The version applying when you placed an order continues to govern that purchase, unless you agree otherwise or law requires a change. No provision excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
